BPAP & CPAP

Continuous positive airway pressure, known as CPAP, is a device which delivers a single continuous level of air pressure through a hose to a mask worn by the patient, typically for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. BPAP, or bilevel positive airway pressure, delivers a higher pressure when the patient inhales than when he or she exhales and normally does so on a time-cycled basis. While BPAP can be used to treat sleep apnea, it is also used to treat patients who have difficulty breathing normally. Joshua's provides either of these devices according to our patient's need.
